Biovotion - NOMAD wins Eurostars grant
The French/Swiss consortium around NOMAD wins a prestigious Eurostars grant within the EUREKA program. Biovotion will contribute sensing technologies to provide a wearable monitor that helps to combat obesity in a novel and more sustainable way.
Nomad has passed a highly competitive European selection process, and the scrutiny of a panel of international research and business experts, that have reviewed the quality of the consortium and the business idea.
Eurostars is a programme that supports SMEs which develop innovative products to gain competitive advantage and gain global leadership. In Switzerland Eurostars awarded SMEs are supported by SBFI/SERI, providing funding for transnational innovation projects. The products of which are then rapidly commercialized. Eurostars is a transnational programme, where projects have partners from two or more Eurostars countries. Thanks to this international collaboration, SMEs can more easily gain access to new markets. The Eurostars programme is publicly financed with a total budget of 1.14 billion euro and is currently supported by 33 EUREKA countries and the European Union.
